Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the studio policy. A clear understanding of the policy will reduce confusion later on.
Rates
$40.00 per hour with a minimum booking time of 2 hours.
$320.00 day rate for a block of ten hours.
These rates are the same for recording , editing and mixing.
Session musicians are available and range from $50-$75 per song.
On-site hard drive storage is free for 3 weeks after the last recording session, after that time the files will be removed from the system and it is then up to the client for backup of the files.
A session begins at the time the client booked it for, whether they are present or not, and continues until the recording has ceased.
Payment
Payment in full is required upon completion of each session. No masters (CD-Rs, DATs, DVD’s, etc.) will be turned over until full payment is made. Payment may be made by cash, personal or company check, money order, PayPal or swipe your credit card at the studio. There is a $35 fee for returned checks.
Equipment
If there is something you need that I do not have available, you may bring it yourself or I can have it rented at prevailing rates. Any equipment damaged or broken by clients will be repaired or replaced at cost and billed accordingly.
Restricted Recordings
Client agrees to assume any and all liability and damages to any third party which concerns or arises from The Sound Factory recording of materials supplied or recorded by the client, specifically including but not limited to patent and copyright infringement royalty claims. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Sound Factory from any and all such liability.
Food and Beverage
Food and drink may be brought into the studio but must be kept away from equipment racks, and recording console.
Drugs are strictly prohibited
I reserve the right to deny access to the premises and the equipment to those clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Friends and Other Guests
Due to the limited space at the studio please limit your session to those who are directly involved with the recording process.
